Creme Fresh

4 TBS | buttermilk |
2 c | whipping cream |
Place buttermilk in a small bowl. Whisk in a little whipping cream, blend thoroughly. Add remaining creme gradually, whisking until smooth. Set bowl in a larger bowl of hot water to bring creme to room temperature. Remove. Let stand about 8 hours, covered with a cloth. When creme has thickened, stir it, then cover and refrigerate (at least 4 hours). |
