M69 is one of the smaller and poorer globular clusters in our galaxy.
It is fairly bright and can be seen in binoculars,
although a telescope and higher magnification may be required to resolve any members
or see its mottled asymmetric core.
Notice the 8th magnitude star nearby.
M69 is quite metal-rich for a globular cluster, indicating that it is relatively young,
although likely still older than the sun.
